NIA'S WORLD

Accomplished multimedia artist, Tina (Nia) Gifford, will present her Nia's World home textileand art to wear collection at the Surtex Trade Fair, North America's pre-eminent art and design trade fair iat the Jacob Javitz Convention Centre, Manhattan, New York, March 16 -18, 2010.

Ms. Gifford, London College Of Fashion alumna, complemented her BTEC diploma in Art and Design, by pursuing her Degree in Fine Art Textiles at Goldsmith's University Of London. The result of innate skill and creativity, enhanced and fine-tuned by years of studies in some of Britains exceptional institutions, gave birth to the remarkable concept behind Nia's World. Although the young London based label was officially launched in June 2008, Nia's World incubated in early 2004, and has continued growing steadily in vision and creativity.

Tina's decidedly contemporary designs are characterized by an exquisite attention to detail and the use of rich luxurious fabrics. Her capsule Spring/Summer 2011, home collection, "Away From Home", aptly named as Tina is Caribbean born living in London, features symbols of her familial home hidden within the art of her designs which only she can identify.Her Art To Wear colection called, "Comfort & Joy" features symbols and colours of joy, freedon and gaiety, printed on to beautiful and lush silks and other natural fabrics.
